Get connected
In the event that you have to a apply for a water or electrical power connection to your new house or new business building please follow the procedures below to ensure an on time delivery of water and electrical power.
Water connection
Fill out the ‘new water connection application’ form. You can download the form here, print it out and fill it out, or you can obtain one at one of our service centers. At the service center of Aqualectra Distribution you will subsequently have to submit the following papers:
- The completed and signed application form for the supply of water;
- A copy of a valid ID (ID card, pass- port or driver’s license);
- A clear situational sketch of the location of the site, indicating where exactly you want to have the water meter placed.
Connection costs
If the connection is within 10 meters of the existing water network, the connection will be made free of charge.
In the event that the network has to be extended, you will be partially charged for the costs. We will inform you in writing whether you have to pay connection costs and will quote those costs in writing. You’ll have to pay the connection costs, if applicable, in advance at one of our service offices.
Time to connect
Generally speaking, Aqualectra will connect the water supply within 6 work weeks after receipt of the application form and/or receipt of proof of payment.

Electrical power connection
Before you can apply for an electrical power connection, your electrical installation has to be inspected and approved by D.O.W.. Your certified electrician will have to submit an inspection card and the technical installation drawings to Aqualectra distribution. A list with certified electricians is available for download here.
After approval by D.O.W. we’ll inform you in writing that you may apply for connection and specify the amount of the deposit and the connection costs.
Fill out the ‘new electrical power connection application’ form. You can download the form here, print it out and fill it out, or you can obtain one at one of our service centers. At the service center of Aqualectra Distribution you will subsequently have to submit the following papers:
- The completed and signed application form for the supply of electrical power;
- A copy of a valid ID (ID card, pass- port or driver’s license);
- The proof that the electric installation has been inspected by D.O.W.: the inspection card strip;
- The letter sent to you by us mentioning the deposit and the connection costs to be paid;
- A clear situational sketch of the location of the site, indicating where exactly you want to have the connection placed.
Connection costs
You’ll have to pay the deposit and the connection costs in advance at one of our service offices.
Time to connect
Generally speaking, Aqualectra will connect the electrical power within 6 work weeks after receipt of the application form and receipt of proof of payment.

Please note:
- If it is a rented building the owner will also have to sign the application form.
- If it is an industrial connection you will also have to hand in a proof of registration at the Chamber of Commerce.
- If you are not a resident of the Netherlands Antilles you will also have to submit a proof, showing that you can meet your monthly obligations like a standing order.
- If you are a minor (under the age of 18) you cannot have water and/or electricity connected in your name, unless you are married. In the latter case, you will also have to bring along a copy of your marriage booklet.
